Platinum Jubilee celebrations on Sunday 5th June –
- The day will start with a special Jubilee Church Service at 11.15am. The church will specially decorated with flowers for the event, along with a photographic display and a display of artwork from children from Scarning School.
- From 12 until 2pm, there will be a bring-your-own picnic as part of the national Big Jubilee Lunch on the Shipdham Lane Playing Field.
- The Little Jubilee Fete, also on the Playing Field, is from 1pm until 4pm and will include all sorts of traditional village fete stalls and activities. Most of the activities will be completely FREE – including a bouncy castle and face-painting!
(In the event of wet weather, we will be able to retire to the Village Hall plus two marquees in the rear garden.)
So, come along for the whole day and celebrate the once-in-a-lifetime event of Queen Elizabeth’s 70 years on the throne.
