Dear Local Resident,
I am writing to you about the upcoming Maui Waui festival at Hall Farm in Gressenhall which will run from the 24th August to the 27th August. I understand an event such as this can be concerning however we wanted to let you know that we have good plans in place and are confident the event can run causing little disturbance and be a benefit to the area!
Following the success of 2022 we are building on how the event runs –
We have changed the traffic management plan to ensure local traffic will be impacted less by festival traffic. This year the AA will be placing signage to reduce confusion. We have also staggered arrival times to reduce traffic.
We will be bringing the sound levels down for the whole site at 11pm. There will still be music in some areas until 2am, but between the hours of 11pm and 2am the level will be substantially less. The sound levels will be monitored regularly throughout the festival’s active hours from points outside the festival to ensure the sound is kept to a reasonable level.
