A new page has been added to this website outlining the people who served in Scraning’s Home Guard during World War II.

The information is based on research by Alan Glister with conversations with some of the volunteers in 1985. However, we do not have any photographs of the sixty-seven people involved, nor much background information about where they lived, their regular jobs and other family members.

So, if you have anything which could help, we’d be delighted to hear from you. It could be a photo of your Grandad who was in the Home Guard, or perhaps an elderly neighbour who told you a few stories of their wartime memories. Anything would be gratefully received.
