The website has had various updates over the past few weeks – some minor and some not.
A new page has been added for Heating Oil Clubs which includes details of two local groups. There is also a (very small) page for Longham Football Club who are now playing their home matches at the Shipdham Lane Playing Field.
The Playing Field has hosted various fetes, cricket matches and even church services over the years and some photos, kindly supplied by Ben Hewson, have been added to various pages – Fetes, Playing Field and Church in particular.
The very popular Gardens Open Days in June generated some lovely photos which have been added to the Past Village Events section. The previous week, Corinne Steward was interviewed live on Radio Norfolk and a video clip has been added on the Treasure Quest page in the same section.
A long-time resident of Scarning, Fred Milk, has kindly supplied some fascinating photos of his family and various houses, which can mostly be found in the Old Photos|People page of the From The Archive section.
More details of the various Listed Buildings have been added, along with more information from Nick Hartley about the long gone Drayton Hall.
