The Mobile Library (Route Number CEN316) stops in Scarning at Shipdham Lane (Mayfair) in the mornings at 10.25, and School Plain in the afternoon at 16.35, on Wednesdays every four weeks. They carry a good selection of books for borrowing, you can also return books, and if you wanted to order specific titles from any library, they will bring these out for collection as well. As well as adult fiction and non-fiction there is also a huge selection of children’s books, plus quite a few jigsaw puzzles.

Route Number 4 Konectbus

Runs every hour from Dereham Market Place to Norwich Bus station via Mattishall and the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. This useful service stops adjacent to Morrisons supermarket, Homebase and Tesco in Dereham.

Route Number 8 Konectbus

Runs every half hour from Dereham Market Place directly to Norwich Bus station and Railway station

excel First: Peterborough to Norwich (routes A and B)

These two buses stop and pass through the village providing a 30 minutes service the whole route from Norwich to Peterborough, there are also:
– Fast buses up to every 30 minutes between Dereham and Norwich taking just 35 minutes, with extra journeys at peak times.
– A combined daytime frequency of three buses per hour between Dereham and Norwich (including route D)
