All of Great Britain is now in an avian influenza prevention zone (AIPZ). This means all bird keepers in Great Britain (whether they have pet birds, commercial flocks or just a few birds in a backyard flock) are required by law to take biosecurity precautions.
On 7 November HPAI H5N1 was confirmed at the following:
- a large commercial poultry premises near Feltwell, King’s Lynn and West Norfolk (AIV 2025/90)
- a large commercial poultry premises near Attleborough, Breckland (AIV 2025/91)
A 3km protection zone and 10km surveillance zone has been declared around each of the premises.
