The date for the next Community Litter Pick around Scarning is Saturday April 6th.

Starting at 9am and using equipment kindly provided by the Parish Council, a team of volunteers will be out and about picking up everything from the usual fast food wrappers and drinks bottles, to tyres and bits of carpet. The accumulated rubbish will be collected by Breckland Council after the weekend.

We cover most of the village within a couple of hours, and then meet at the monthly Coffee Morning in the Village Hall at 11am for a free cup of coffee/tea and a bacon butty or piece of cake, courtesy of the Parish Council.

It is a very rewarding couple of hours and helps keep our lovely village clean and tidy. But, if you are unable to help on the actual morning, you could always contribute by litter picking for half an hour on a different day if you wish – every little helps, as they say!

So if you would like to be involved please make contact.
