The Dirty Donkey Do is this Friday (April 22nd)!

From this month onwards, the Dirty Donkey Do will be arranged by a different community group. To start us off is the Jessopp Close area, and they have karaoke and fish finger sandwiches lined up for you all to enjoy! Gluten free and vegan is an option, but please let the organisers (clarks88im@gmail.com or cathygeary66@gmail.com) know beforehand.

It’s a free sociable event, just like a pub, where you can just turn up when you like and have a drink with friends & neighbours. The only difference is that you will need to bring your own refreshments. There will be teas, coffees and fish finger sandwiches available, but everything else you’ll need to bring yourself. However, that means you can have a night down the pub, but at supermarket prices!

It’s not a fund-raising event, and it’s not for profit, so there’s no entrance fee, but we do need to pay for the hire of the village hall somehow. So, there will be raffle tickets on sale, purely to pay for the hall for the evening, so please bring some coins with you.

So, please come along – from 7.30pm next Friday. If you’re not able to make it, it’s the third Friday of every month.

It’s open to anyone to attend, young or old, Scarning or not, so please spread the word to your friends and neighbours and let’s get a “pub” back in Scarning!

Hope to see you on Friday.
