UK to join the Erasmus+ scheme in 2027
The Government has successfully agreed terms to join the Erasmus+ programme in 2027. Erasmus+ offers opportunities around education, training, youth, culture and sport for participants of all ages.
Students in the UK will be able to spend a year in Europe as part of their degree courses without paying extra fees, and vice versa for Europeans. The programme will also create educational and training opportunities for British apprentices, further education students and adult learners.
The Government says it will work closely with institutions and young people to maximise take-up – particularly among disadvantaged groups.
