I wish to make your community aware of an upcoming public information session we are holding in Dereham. It will be at the 2nd Scouthaven Hall, South Green, NR19 1PU, between 13:00 and 17:00 next Tuesday, 18th February. These details can be found on the attached poster, which I have placed copies in and around Dereham. We would greatly appreciate it if you have any village noticeboards or social media pages/web pages where you feel this may be appropriate to share.
All the ducting in the westernmost 20km of our cable route, from Necton to the River Wensum, has been installed by our Delivery Partners Murphy. Members of their team will be at this event to explain how the reinstatement of this land has been carried out. Works along this part of the route will therefore be minimal this year, with more activity returning to Breckland next year when the first cables will be pulled through the installed ducting.
We will also have colleagues from the Siemens Energy team at the event to explain the works being carried out at the substation and converter hall sites in Necton, where there has been great progress made.
