Part of a walking trail is closed for five days to allow work to take place on a road.

Ted Ellis Way in Dereham was set to be closed today (Tues 20th) at the junction of Washbridge near Dereham Church Infant School until 5pm on Friday 23rd.

The trail will remain open for most of its length but pedestrians will be denied access to and from Washbridge while the carriageway repairs take place.

Only people who live in Washbridge will have access to the road during this time and the closure could cause problems for those in Scarning who use Ted Ellis Way as a shortcut to Dereham.

The work, which will cost approximately £11,580, is being carried out by Norfolk County Council’s Community and Environmental Services Department and its contractors.
