The surface moss on both tennis courts on the Shipdham Lane Playing Field has been treated. Court One is available to be used immediately, with Court Two available within a few days.

The long overdue pruning of the overhanging trees on both courts has unfortunately been held up by the contractor, but a different tree surgeon will be attending to the problem within a few days. So, just in time for the start of the tennis season, both courts will be fully back in action!

These can be hired by the hour for £5 by contacting Pam Cole on 07375 077807 or by collecting a key from 1 Hall Cottages, Dereham Road (opposite the church.)

Twice a week, the tennis courts are available for free, during the Community Tennis Sessions on Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings – no need to book, just turn up.

Further details of the tennis courts and the free Community Sessions can be found on the Tennis page on the village website.

There is also an outdoor table tennis table available alongside Court One, so why not have a lighthearted game whilst you’re waiting to play tennis?
