To support Scarning’s Lunchtime Appeal for Ukraine on St George’s Day, the Ukrainian Peace Flock of birds will be paying a flying visit to the village on Saturday 23rd April!
As featured in the EDP, artist Rob Woods’ Peace Flock have been migrating throughout Norfolk – from their nesting grounds in Welborne to Hingham, to Wymondham Abbey, to Norwich Cathedral and even to Foulden (Fowlden!).
Being migratory birds, there’s no telling where they may actually land in Scarning, but they will undoubtably be hungry after their flight. So they might choose the Village Hall area where bacon butties and cake will be on sale from 12 noon onwards.
