Run/Walk Club 🏃♀️🚶♀️
6:00 pm – 7:00 pm Run/Walk Club 🏃♀️🚶♀️ Welden Road / Bluebell Close junction Wednesday evenings at 6pm from the Scarning Estate.
A combination run / walk (approx 1 min jog / 1 min walk for about 45 mins – 1 hour depending on abilities) getting people out in the fresh air for exercise / company / you-time. Over time we aim to increase the run and decrease the walk but again that depends on abilities.
Being part of a group means we encourage each other all the way and you are more likely to stay motivated and help keep others motivated too. And most of all it’s fun! We are just a bunch a people, FAR from elite athletes who just want to get out, have a bit of a laugh and do SOMETHING!
Please note: This isn’t an official licensed club, there’s nothing to pay, and also no insurances or guarantees that you’ll turn into a marathon runner in 6 weeks (sorry about THAT!)

Dereham Walkers Are Welcome 🥾
10:15 am – 12:15 pm Dereham Walkers Are Welcome 🥾 Ruthen Place, Ruthen Pl, Dereham NR19 2TX, UK The short (under 4 miles) walks programme will continue on 6 October, 3 November and 1 December. These walks are always on the first Friday of the month and start at 10:15 unless otherwise advised: the starting point may vary (though will always be near Dereham town centre), so please check on arrangements. Other than that, you don’t need to book – just turn up at the right time in the right place. Please note that short walks do not have programmed refreshment stops, but there are usually a number of short halts for people to collect and catch breath, so if you want to bring something to eat and/or drink, there will be opportunity to consume it. The walk will be led at a reasonable pace – we do not rush, but we do need to make progress for the group as a whole; if you have any questions about our speed, please raise them with us.
You might also want to check out our website – http://www.DerehamWaW.org.uk/.

We don’t normally take these items at our recycling centres, however we hold annual free household hazardous waste days (amnesties) when we do accept certain hazardous waste items.
These are for residents disposing of household hazardous waste only and not for any business, group or other organisation.
The next Household Hazardous Waste Days will be held in Autumn 2023. The dates and locations are as follows. They will be held in normal Recycling Centre opening times of 9am – 4pm.
Norwich South – 9/10 September
Thetford – 16/17 September
King’s Lynn – 23/24 September
Caister – 30 September/1 October
Dereham – 7/8 October
Hempton -14/15 October
Norwich North – 21/22 October
In the meantime your local District, Borough or City council may offer a hazardous waste collection, but they might charge you for this service. You can also find specialist hazardous waste disposal contractors in your local telephone directory or online. Remember to ask to see a Waste Carriers Licence and find out where the waste will be disposed of.

A reminder that there is a selection of books/DVDs in the Church, together with an honesty box for anyone who is interested – all proceeds to Scarning Church. If you have a compelling book or enjoyable DVD that you would care to donate please leave these discreetly by the bookcase. I hasten to add that we do not have the storage facilities to accept boxes of books so please DO NOT leave these in the Church. I would, however, like to take this opportunity to thank you in advance for any donations.
If anyone is able to bake a cake or donate a raffle prize for any of these dates do, please, let me know. Your help would be very much appreciated.
It will be so nice to meet up with friends/neighbours once more and enjoy that cup of coffee/tea together with a bacon buttie or a naughty slice of cake. Recurs monthly

Let me know if you’re interested, via email or FaceBook Messenger
