Scarning Playing Fields

There are two lovely playing fields in Scarning –

One is off Shipdham Lane, behind the Village Hall, which has a slide, swings, an adventure trail, adult exercise equipment, a zip wire, a full-size football pitch, two tennis courts, outdoor table tennis and a bowling green. This playing field is maintained by a voluntary committee on behalf of Scarning Playing Field Charity.
Please contact the Committee if you have any queries about the Shipdham Lane playing field – Ben Hudson (Committee Secretary) 07772 647170‬ Ben-Hudson@hotmail.co.uk

The second playing field is on the Water Meadows off Blackthorn Drive and features two football goals, adult exercise equipment, an adventure trail and smaller children’s play equipment, all of which was installed by Scarning Parish Council. An area on the Water Meadows is designed for smaller children who want to kick a ball and is off Ted Ellis Walk, where two goalposts have been installed. The playing field is part of the wider Water Meadows which is part of a County Wildlife Site.
Please contact the Parish Clerk if you have any queries about the Blackthorn Drive play area – Nick Hartley (Parish Clerk) 07938 001056 ScarningClerk@BTInternet.Com
